The end of 4th of July weekend certainly doesn’t mean the end of fun activities. Many organizations are gearing up for back-to-school events, but there are still plenty of long summer days to enjoy. Here are a few things to occupy your time:

July 10

• Project Reach G.A.N.G.
Inc. (God’s Anointed Now Generation) will have its 12th annual Back to School Rally, themed “The Power to Succeed.” The rally is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Briar Bay Park, which is at Harrington Ferry Road in Riceboro. The rally is for children of all ages. Featured attractions include the Harlem Globetrotters’ Larry “Gator” Rivers, USA Weight Lifting Team, culture dancers, a concert, food, games, school supplies, horseback rides, health checks, basketball competitions and more. July 12

• The Grow-A-Girl Network will have “Glam Camp” from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday, July 19-24 for girls ages 9-12, and another session from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday, July 26-31 for girls ages 13-16. The camps are at 445 E.G. Miles Parkway, suite 203, Hinesville. Orientation starts at 7 a.m.
The cost for camp is $70 for each participant and lunch will be provided. Event coordinator Cheron Griffin said Glam Camp is for young ladies who want to possess inner beauty and outer beauty. Many topics, including etiquette, posture, exercise, fashion, shopping, skincare and hair care will be covered at camp. GlamShotz photography will take campers’ photos and a luncheon will end the camp. July 15

• The Hinesville farmers market is from 4-8 p.m. at Bradwell Park. The market offers fresh fruits and vegetables, seasonal items, local favorites, prepared foods, baked goods and more. July 16

• Liberty County’s signature event, Liberty Fest 2010, is from 6-11 p.m. Friday, July 16, and from 10 a.m.-midnight July 17, at Bryant Commons on Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville. The cost for adults is $5 and kids younger than 12 get in free. There will be arts and crafts, food, rides, street dancers, live entertainment courtesy of “Second Chance Band,” a fireworks show and more. • The Hinesville Arts Council is offering a series of fine art classes for adults and children. The classes, which cost $10 each, are at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5 and 12. The series will offer segments on creative writing, painting, crafts, fashion design, interior craft decor painting, clothing design and more. Classes will be at 500 E. Oglethorpe Highway.
