Not much has been announced about Apples new original programming. But one thing appears certain its going to be clean.

Bloomberg reports that Apple isnt looking to add shows that you commonly see on Netflix or HBO, like Game of Thrones or House of Cards.

Rather, the company, which looks to invest $1 billion into original shows, plans to release projects that are safe for children.

Every show must be suitable for an Apple Store. Instead of the nudity, raw language and violence that have become staples of many TV shows on cable or streaming services, Apple wants comedies and emotional dramas with broad appeal, according to Bloomberg.

For example, Apple wants to add shows akin to NBCs This is Us or Amazing Stories, which it announced earlier this month itll develop with the help of Steven Spielberg.

This isnt all that surprising given Apples earlier behavior. Apple initially delayed the release of Carpool Karaoke: The Series, which was its first original series on Apple Music, because of foul language.

As Engadget reported, Apple rewrote and reshot segments of the show because they contained "foul language and references to vaginal hygiene, which were topics they didnt want included in the show.

So is this a good move for Apple? Recode said it may not be a terrible idea, since Apple hasnt developed any TV shows yet.

Better to screw up with inoffensive stuff than to compound the problem with sex and violence, according to Recode.

And Recode argues that HBO and Netflix already own the violent and sexual content, so attempting something with family friendly programming would be something different.

Recode said, It doesnt make sense to make bold bets.

With Amazon, Netflix, Hulu and HBO still dominating, Mashable sees Apples introduction as a welcome change.

So bring on the wholesome content, Apple, Mashable explained.
