Don't be caught at Disneyland waiting in the slow lines.

The Los Angeles Times published a list of tips and tricks to make even the most inexperienced Disneyland theme-park visitor look like an expert. The authors analyzed data from touringplans.com to share insights on which time of the year to plan a trip and how to cut wait times for popular rides.

Some insights from the article include visiting Disneyland in September or January on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday for the lowest wait times for rides. The article also recommends getting to the park (and the rides you are the most interested in) early and riding some rides alone to save the most time.

"Even if you arent staying at the Disneyland hotels, its still worth heading to the parks at least a half-hour before they open," the Times suggested. "Parkgoers who show up early will be the first ones through the gates and will have the best chance of riding the most popular rides without waiting for hours."

The article also includes the hourly wait times in 2017 for popular rides and some insights from readers who have braved the crowds.
