The annual Wreaths for Warriors Walk Poker Run will be Saturday through Monday. Registration will begin at 9:20 a.m. and the ride begins at 9:50 a.m. at the Sgt. 1st Class Paul R. Smith Army Education Center outside of Fort Stewart.
The group first will stop at Warriors Walk on Fort Stewart.  Then the run will continue to Glennville Veterans Cemetery. The final destination is to the U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Clubhouse in Surrency. The event is sponsored by USMVMC. The entry fee is $15. Proceeds benefit Wreaths for Warriors Walk.
A wreath-laying ceremony is held each December on Fort Stewart’s Warriors Walk. Wreaths are laid at the base of more than 400 eastern redbud trees that line two long cement walks at the edge of Cottrell Field.
Warriors Walk is dedicated to the service men and women attached to the 3rd Infantry Division who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.
