UPDATE: Preliminary results of an autopsy showed no signs of foul play in the case of a dead body found Monday in Wayne County. Toxicology results are still pending, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.The body of a man that was located has been identified, but his identity is still being withheld due to locating next of kin. According to Wayne County Chief Deputy Donald Ray, the body of a middle aged man was discovered Monday morning on the 3800 block of Savannah Highway in Jesup. The body was lying partially in the grass and was found shortly after 11 a.m. by deputies. Ray said the cause of death is unknown and the GBI was called in to provide assistance to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. GBI Special Agent in Charge of the Kingsland Office Stacy Carson said they are assisting the WCSO in the death investigation. The body was taken to the GBI lab in Savannah for an autopsy on Tuesday.
