Chamber names new finance assistant

Liberty County native Erin Johnson has been promoted by the Chamber of Commerce to finance assistant.

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce recently added Liberty County native Erin Johnson to its staff as finance assistant, which moved her from her current position as a temporary membership director.
Johnson will handle invoicing and receiving money for memberships, renewals and various events. She will be in charge of bookkeeping and accounting as well as payroll, banking and accounts payable and will maintain customer files and update online information for all members.
“I really think that with Erin’s background and experience running her own small business that she will do an excellent job at assuming the role of finance assistant for the chamber, ensuring that our finances are always accurate and up-to-the-minute,” chamber CEO Leah Poole said.
Johnson was born and raised in Liberty County and attended the University of Georgia, where she earned her master’s in family and consumer sciences. She married a soldier, who was stationed at Fort Stewart, and moved to Oregon. Johnson also had a baby boy, Jacob, in January.
“I am very excited to be back in Liberty County, working with the chamber and all of our members,” she said.
