The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce is asking for nominations for business leader, business and civic leader of the year awards.

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations from the community for business leader of the year, business of the year and civic leader of the year.

Those nominated should demonstrate innovation in management and leadership, as well as a commitment to the advancement of their business and the economic climate of Liberty County.

Criteria to consider when nominating a business leader includes: being a member in good standing with the chamber; being a resident of or working in the county; being known for integrity in business operations; having good character; practicing fair treatment of co-workers, employees and customers; demonstrating growth of the company; and demonstrating a commitment to community service on a personal level.

"We look forward every year to honoring the best and brightest in the Liberty County business and civic community. These awards are highly competitive and mean, when received, that the honoree has achieved something of great value in our county," chamber/CVB CEO Leah Poole said.

Nominations forms are available on the chamber website under the Chamber Members tab at www.libertycounty.org and may be submitted via mail, fax or delivered to the chamber by Jan. 5. Winners will be announced at the chamber’s annual banquet. Go to www.libertycounty.org to check if the nominee or their company is a chamber member; click on "Search Member Directory" or call 912-368-4445.
