The Davis House Bed-and-Breakfast hosted a ribbon cutting in conjunction with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 16 at 226 Old Sunbury Road in Flemington.

Owners Jackie and Gene Davis welcomed staff, family and friends, as well as chamber staff and members.

The Laura Fraser Room has a queen bed and private bath, and the Eliza Martin Room has two twin beds and a private bath adjacent to the room. Room rates include a traditional breakfast prepared by the chef, Joey Armos.

The Davis House is open Thursday through Saturday for lunch from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and for tea from 3-5 p.m. A minimum of six guests with reservations is required for tea. Special events for groups of at least 12 are available Monday through Saturday with reservations.

“Our tea room has been open for over a year, and our bed and breakfast is a rather recent addition,” Jackie Davis said. “We are grateful to be able to offer our community and travelers the opportunity to experience a bygone era. We want to spread the word and let people know we are here.”
