Liberty County recently was featured among “America’s Top Sites for Business Prosperity and an Enjoyable Life” by Trade & Industry Development magazine.

The publication cites Liberty’s proximity to the Port of Savannah, the presence of Fort Stewart and transitioning soldiers, and the emergence of workforce-development initiatives as characteristics attractive to industrial executives.

Liberty County Development Authority CEO Ronald E. Tolley was pleased to learn Tradeport East Business Center would be featured among the top locations.

“It is an honor for Liberty County to be listed among ‘America’s Top Sites for Business Prosperity and Enjoyable Life,’” he said. “This accolade highlights our community’s viability for businesses for both its proximity to Savannah and innovative workforce development programs in partnership with Liberty College and Career Academy and Savannah Technical College.”

The listings were compiled by Trade & Industry Development magazine and released May 8.

Liberty is among eight communities nationwide to be featured on the list. Other Southeast locations include Dublin and northeast Tennessee.
