Hinesville Downtown Development Authority recently hired Katrina Sage as the new program assistant.
Her work includes promoting and developing downtown events, assisting the executive director and HDDA board and conducting administrative tasks.
“I am very excited about working for HDDA and helping improve such a vital part of our community,” Sage said. “As a local to the area, there is nothing more I want to see than a thriving downtown.”
“We are pleased that Katrina has chosen to become an integral part of the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority as the program assistant,” HDDA Executive Director Vicki Davis said. “She has already proven to be a valuable asset to HDDA and brings a wealth of experience, talent and energy to the downtown scene.”
Sage returned to Hinesville in the summer of 2010 after graduating with a public relations degree from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.
Prior to joining HDDA, she was the creative director for Liberty Life magazine.
Sage has won numerous awards from the Georgia Press Association and Georgia Southern University for her marketing and public relations work.
“Joining HDDA has been a big move for me, and I am excited about taking what I know and using it to promote the organization, downtown events and businesses,” she said.
Sage said she hopes to use her experience in public relations and image management to help organize and create events unique to Hinesville and the downtown area.
In addition to her passion for public relations, she said she has a great appreciation for preserving history and is eager to learn about historic preservation and what it can do for downtown.
