Employees at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Hinesville recently helped with a Savannah-area Habitat for Humanity project by applying wind brackets and trestles to a structure. They also removed trash and helped carry supplies to the site to assist with the construction.
The hotel’s staffers said they were happy to help the family who will live in the house.
Fairfield’s Hospitality at Home program serves the community and benefits Habitat for Humanity International.
Through sponsorships, the national Hospitality at Home program encourages Fairfield Inn and Suites associates, owners, franchisees and customers to help Habitat for Humanity continue its work in providing decent, affordable housing for families in need.
This year, Fairfield celebrated its continued commitment to the program by participating in the second annual Rally to Serve.
In October, the Fairfield Inn and Suites chain challenged other hotels to help build at least one home in each state by either helping with construction, volunteering at Habitat Restore, donating products from renovations or making financial donations.
