SALISBURY, N.C. -- Now through March 11, all Food Lion stores are conducting a Shop & Care campaign to support Easter Seals.
Shoppers can donate simply by purchasing $1 Easter Seals at checkout.
The Easter Seals can be read by checkout scanners and customers' donations will be added to their bills and shown on the receipt for record keeping. All of the money raised will be given to local Easter Seals' affiliates at the end of the campaign.
Since 1991, Food Lion LLC has raised more than $16 million for Easter Seals.
Easter Seals is a leading nonprofit provider of services for young individuals with autism, developmental, physical and mental disabilities, and other special needs. For more than 85 years, Easter Seals has been offering help and hope to children and adults living with disabilities and to the families who love them.
