Food service, permitting topics at meeting

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and CVB will host a Lunch and Learn workshop on food service, cottage food laws and event permitting from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

This workshop will be at the chamber/convention and visitors bureau offices at 208 E. Court St., Hinesville.

Learn about local food service permitting from representatives of the Liberty County Environmental Health Department as well as cottage food laws from the Georgia Center of Innovation for Agribusiness. Hinesville officials will also talk about event permitting and what is needed in the city limits when hosting events.

"With the multitude of events that keep popping up all over Liberty County we feel like these types of workshops are important for people to attend to make sure that they are compliant with all local, state and federal guidelines," said Leah Poole, CEO of the Liberty County Chamber/CVB.

The workshop cost is $10 for members and $20 for non-members, the cost includes lunch. Seating is limited, on a first come, first serve basis. Registration is required so reserve your seat today by emailing operations@libertycounty.org or by calling 912-368-4445.
