Donna Brazile and Karl Rove entertained about 1,500 guests at the annual meeting dinner while discussing the 2008 presidential campaign, offering predictions and advice for President Barack Obama and his administration, and sharing stories from the campaign trail.
Gov. Sonny Perdue, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and House Speaker Glenn Richardson appeared before nearly 2,500 attendees at the Eggs & Issues Breakfast. They discussed their priorities for the 2009 legislative session and visions for Georgia’s future. All three leaders said balancing the state’s budget is the highest priority, but also emphasized education, transportation and trauma care funding.
