Homebuying workshop set for May

Hinesville's Department of Community Development will host a First-Time Home Buyers Education Workshop at the city hall council room from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.
The workshops are free and are held quarterly to educate people how to overcome the administrative and financial hurdles to buying real estate. Topics include overcoming the down payment barrier, shopping for a home mortgage, application process, USDA Rural Development Mortgage Loans, Georgia Dream Homeownership Programs, home inspections, selecting a team of professionals, the home financing process, credit scoring, purchasing, repairing real estate, and winning in today's competitive market.
Participants receive a free guide to purchasing real estate successfully. To register for this event, call 876-6573.
