Coastal Courier General Manager Kathryn Fox announced Tuesday that Morgan Knotts has been appointed advertising sales manager.

Knotts is responsible for managing the Courier’s advertising staff with regard to both both digital and print media.

“We are very excited to have Morgan join The Coastal Courier Multimedia Team,” Fox said. “She has a wealth of knowledge and experience with creating success results for clients. She is looking forward to meeting everyone in our community, and has committed to assisting our clients with growing their customer base. We are very lucky to have her on staff, and are delighted to introduce her to the community.”

Knotts is a graduate of Colorado Technical University with an MBA in human resource management. She is married to Tyson Knotts and has two daughters, Natalia and Tylin.

Knotts hobbies are hiking in the woods and collecting antique books, keys and Dresden figurines.

Knotts is also an avid reader who spends her spare time reading about history, and watching musicals and black and white movies on Turner Classic Movies. She also has way too many cats and dogs, she said.

Knotts is looking forward to working at the Courier.

“I am very excited to begin my career with the Coastal Courier here in Liberty County and am looking forward to the opportunity to become more involved with the community,” she said. “I consider myself fortunate to be working with such a talented group of people. I have enjoyed the short time I have been with the Coastal Courier and the people I have met already. I look forward to getting to know the people in my community and helping their businesses grow through advertising.”
