More stores are coming to Hinesville, but just which ones are a secret for now.

Mayor Jim Thomas made the announcement during his State of the City address at the People and Progress Luncheon on Thursday at Connection Church.

“We are doing very well as far as recruitment. We’ve got several stores … that are coming. We have two stores that are primarily designed for the ladies that should be coming this fall, and we got some other stores,” he said. “They (business owners) see the value of coming to Hinesville. Hinesville is a good place to do business.”

Thomas also mentioned the two Wal-Mart Neighborhood Markets, one of which is in the process of being built along Oglethorpe Highway, between Topi Trail and Meloney Drive, and the second behind Old Times Buffet.
