Attorney Carl Varnedoe has joined the Hinesville-based law firm of Jones, Osteen & Jones to focus his practice on personal injury and general civil litigation.
After practicing law in Macon for nearly seven years, Varnedoe, who was raised in Hinesville, decided to return to his hometown.
“Jones, Osteen & Jones is a great firm with great people,” Varnedoe said. “I am honored to work with and learn from some of the best lawyers in the state. Plus, my wife, Christina, is from here and it was important to us that our daughter, Mary Mobley, be exposed to the upbringing we had the benefit of.”
“A man travels the world over in search of what he needs, and returns home to find it,” he said of his recent move.
The law partners of Jones, Osteen and Jones say they’re excited to add Varnedoe to their team.
“Noel Osteen and I, and all the other members of the firm, are extremely pleased to have Carl Varnedoe join our law firm,” senior partner Billy Jones said. “He is an extremely talented and brilliant lawyer with strong ties to Liberty County and Coastal Georgia.”
Varnedoe graduated from Liberty County High School in 1995 and went on to pursue a B.B.A. from the University of Georgia in 1999.
In 2003, Varnedoe received his law degree from the Mercer University School of Law, where he served on the Moot Court Board, a program that allows law students to compete nationally in their field, and was a student government class representative.
Varnedoe was named a Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2009 and 2010 by Super Lawyers magazine.
He will receive the
sixth annual Young Lawyer Ethics and Professionalism Award for excellence in his field at a meeting of the State Bar of Georgia later this month.
