The Long County Chamber of Commerce joined Karen and Ricky Waters on March 24 to celebrate the grand opening of their County Line Barn.
Merchandise will include Western wear for men and women, boots, belts, jewelry, tack, saddles and Western decor for the home.
This past year’s chamber president, Betty Smiley, welcomed everyone and introduced Father Will Carter, who prayed for the Waters and asked the Lord to bless the business.
Smiley and 2007 chamber President Beverly Johnson held the traditional ribbon for the new owners to cut. Several chamber members attended and the Waterses had their mothers present, along with other relatives and friends.
Dixon and Dooley of The Morning Show were on site with KIX 96 playing hits and giving away CDs, T-shirts and tickets to a Brooks and Dunn concert at Wild Adventures.
The American Veterans prepared hot dogs and hamburgers lunch. The chamber provided brownies for dessert
Johnson said, “I am amazed at what Ricky and Karen have done, they have it set up so well and have so much inside; they’ve done a tremendous job.”
The shop is 12 miles from Ludowici at Highway 196 and Smiley Cross Roads. For more information, call (912) 408-2276.
