June blood drives

Blood donors needed. The American Red Cross is reporting that the blood supply is very strained right now.  They will be hosting several blood drives in Hinesville throughout the month of June.

June3: from 2-6 p.m. at Legacy Window and Door by the U haul rental and Bees Creations and from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Starbuck’s Coffee in Hinesville off Hwy 84.

June 10: from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the City of Hinesville- City Hall MLK and Commerce.

June 15: from Noon until 6 p.m. at Connection Church

June 17: from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at USO on Fort Stewart

June 24: from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Hinesville library

Brunswick Art Walk

The first Brunswick Art Walk will take place Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Historic Downtown Brunswick. With live demonstrations, live music and over 30 artists in a variety of mediums, Newcastle Street will be ready for strollin’ from 10 am to 4 pm.

The Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCCVB) will host its bi-monthly board meeting on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Historic Bacon Fraser House located at 208 East Court Street in Hinesville. The purpose of the meeting is to make decisions, discuss previous events, go over the agenda, plan and evaluate future events, promotions, and solve any problems. It is open to the public. AUSA MARNE Chapter 2021 Golf Tournament

The 12th annual Fort Stewart AUSA MARNE Chapter 2021 Golf Tournament is set for June 11 at Taylors Creek Golf Course. The fee is $200 for a four person team. Registration includes green fees, golf cart, gift bag, lunch, range tokens, complimentary beverages and snacks during golf play. First Tiger basketball fundraiser golf tournament

The First Tiger basketball fundraiser golf tournament will be held at Cherokee Rose Country Club June 19. The four-man scramble costs $60 per person or $240 per team. Registration is from 12:30 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Lunch will be provided at 12:45 p.m. with a shot gun starts at 2 p.m. Hole Sponsorships available for $50. This tournament is to help fund the BI Tigers boys’ basketball team. To register call 912-306-9814. Prizes will be awarded.

Annual Back-to-school rally

the 23rd Annual Back to School Rally hosted by Project Reach G.A.N.G. Inc.  G.A.N.G. God’s Anointed Now Generation is a non-profit youth and community organization.  The rally will be held on Saturday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at Midway Middle School 425 Edgewater Drive, Midway, GA. 31320.  The rally will be Live Streaming along with a Resource Drive Thru.  Free school supplies, health checks, Live entertainment, refreshments, and much more.  Setup time is on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. the day of the event.  All stations must be setup and ready to go by 9:30 a.m. There will be a live stream program with community leaders.  We will follow the guidelines of the CDC: Social distancing, wearing mask, gloves, and the constant use of hand sanitizers.  You may contact Project Reach G.A.N.G. Inc. for a booth space. You will need a table, folding chair, and popup tent for those not station under the ramp cover. The deadline to register is June 18. There is no charge for a booth space.  However, if you would like to sow a seed toward this noteworthy project you may make all checks payable to Project Reach.
