On July 21, McAlister’s Deli 26 locations in the Georgia area will celebrate Free Tea Day by offering customers a free 32 oz. cup of their Famous Sweet Tea.

McAlister’s Deli Famous Sweet Tea was introduced over 30 years ago and is filtered, made fresh with Orange Pekoe Black Tea leaves, sweetened, and poured over crystal clear ice.

Free Tea Day details include:

• Teas available for free include sweet tea, unsweet tea, tea/lemonade, half sweet/half unsweet, teas with flavored shots.

• Limit 1 tea per person in-store.

• Limit 4 teas per order via the McAlister’s Deli website or app.

• McAlister’s Deli orders subject to delivery and convenience fees and offer excludes third-party delivery orders.

• Valid only on 7/21/22.

Liberty County Animal Services is partnering with Best Friends Animal Society to offer (FEE WAIVED OR REDUCED) Adoption Fees July 22. In light of the current crisis in animal shelters, Liberty County Animal Services and Best Friends Animal Society have joined together for an event created to encourage more people to adopt a pet on July 22. Open adoptions will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can view our adoptable animals on our Facebook page https:// www.facebook.com/libertycountyanimalcontrol.

Food giveaway Thee Living Word Church food give away is hosting a food giveaway from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. July 23, at Thee Living Word Church, 1002 Talmadge Rd, Walthourville. The event is free. Public is welcome.

YMCA Community Day The Liberty County Armed Services Family YMCA, 201 Marylou Drive in Hinesville is hosting a community bash before kids have to go back to school. The event is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. There will be live music, laser, tag, bounce houses, horseback riding, and many more activities. Vendors from Diversity Health, the Boy Scouts and Dental care will be there. They will also be offering haircuts and a food truck area.

The American Red Cross desperately needs blood donations and will be hosting several local blood drives in Liberty County as follows: 7/20 Liberty County High School, 3216 East Oglethorpe Highway from 1-6 p.m.

7/28 Legacy Home improvement at Harbor Freight shopping, 229 W Gen. Screven Way Suite P from 2-7 p.m.

8/3 The Midway American Legion at Liberty County Community, 9397 East Oglethorpe Highway from noon until 6 p.m.

Fort Stewart Drives The Fort Stewart drives are restricted to those that have base access.

7/22 at the Main Chapel on Fort Stewart from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

8/5 at 6th and Gulick Building 661 from 11a.m. until 4 p.m.
