Ongoing from March until April 

Easter egg Scavenger Hunt at Hofwyl-Broadfield

Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation will have a 2-month long Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt rather than a 1-day event. Visitors may participate from March 3rd – April 30, Wednesdays – Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily. Guests will be given an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt map with instructions. Just follow the simple instructions, using the map for clues, to answer the secret phrase. After completing the hunt repeat the phrase to the Ranger at the museum and receive a prize bag filled with toy filled Easter Eggs & more prizes. Participants can receive an EXTRA PRIZE for taking a selfie at one of the clue locations! Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation State Historic Site, 5556 US Highway 17N, Brunswick, GA 31525, Located at intersection of US17 and GA99, one mile east of I-95 exit 42. Fee is $8 adults, $7.50 seniors (62 and over), $5 youth (ages 6 to 17) and children ages 5 and under are free. Evening @ Skidaway program to explore hydrothermal vents

UGA Skidaway Institute researcher Natalie Cohen will explore hydrothermal vents in a virtual Evening @ Skidaway program titled “What’s so hot about hydrothermal vents?” on Tuesday, March 9, at 7p.m. Due to restrictions imposed by COVID-19, the talk will be presented virtually via Zoom. To join the March 9 program, RSVP to mike.sullivan@skio.uga.edu. You will be sent a link to access the presentation. The program is open to the general public and free of charge.
