Notice of computation and canvassing of election returns

Pursuant to O.C.G. A. § 212-492, notice is hereby given that the computation and canvassing of the returns of votes cast in the November 2, 2021. Election will take place in the Liberty County Voter Registration/ Elections Office, 100 Main Street, Suite 1600, Hinesville, GA 31313 on November 3, 2021 beginning at 11:00 AM.

First Liberty County Children’s business fair SGMS Principal Anthony Johnson will offer a speech prior to the ribbon cutting for the first Liberty County Children’s Business Fair. The ribbon cutting will be at 9:45 a.m. at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center, 2140 E. Oglethorpe Highway. After the ribbon cutting shopping will commence from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The fair will host more than 20 young entrepreneurs each who have created a product or service, developed a brand, built a marketing strategy, and then opened for customers at this one-day marketplace. Judges will be on hand and vote on the entries. The children are responsible for the setup, sales, and interacting with customers, and any parent seen selling to the customer or promoting the child’s product will result in disqualification from the competition. Prizes will be awarded in each of the 3 age groups (6-9, 10-13, and 14- 17) for Most Original Business Idea, Highest Business Potential, and Most Impressive/ Creative Presentation. Nov. 8

The City of Midway will host the first of three public hearings for their fiscal year 2022 budget on Nov. 8, at 5 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Midway City Hall. 41 Charlie Butler Road. The second public hearing is planned for 6 p.m. Nov. 15. The third hearing is set for 6 p.m. Nov 22. The City will vote on Dec. 13 to adopt the budget.
