The Hinesville Area Arts Council (HAAC) is hosting the 18th Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ in downtown Hinesville on Saturday, September 17 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
The event will have a barbecue contest as well as barbecue sales and other food vendors, beer garden and lots of live music. This community favorite event is fun and free for the whole family – attendees need just to cover their food and drink. Public sales will begin at 12 noon and the barbecue competition begins at 4 p.m.
The 18th Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ will take place in the Bradwell Park area of downtown, between Main, MLK Jr. Drive and Commerce streets.
Oct. 1
The Seabrook Village Foundation is hosting its first meeting under its new leadership. It will take place Saturday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m. followed by a cleanup from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.This will be an opportunity for people to volunteer and learn about our plans for the site. Oct. 8
The second annual Bradwell Institute Tigers basketball golf outing will be held Saturday, October 8, at Cherokee Rose Country Club.
The event is sponsored by the Bradwell Institute boys’ basketball program and Liberty County Sheriff William Bowman. The format is a fourman scramble and the cost is $60 per player, which includes lunch. Registration will be held from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Lunch will be at 12:45 p.m. with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to first-place team, second-place team, closest to the pin, longest drive and holein one. Four-man team sponsorships are $240 and hole sponsorships are available for $100.

Oct. 15
Annual Pumpkin Patch festival Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Bryant Commons Park.
The ITPA telephone museum will be open.
The local Shrine club will be selling pumpkins.
There will also be a variety of free family-friendly games and activities.
Oct. 28
Annual Scarecrow Stroll in downtown along Main Street. Trick or treating will be from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The evening will continue with a block party from 8-11 p.m. with music from Victory Drive Band, and several food vendors. The HDDA also will play the movie “Hocus Pocus” at 8 p.m.

Bethel AME Church Citizens Relying on Spiritual Servants (CROSS) C.R.O.S.S., in conjunction with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Savannah, is open to those in need on the fourth Saturday of every month.
Food bags will be given out from 9-11 a.m.
C.R.O.S.S. has a clothing ministry giveaway on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. The ministry is open from 8-11 a.m.
