Atlantic Area CASA, Inc hosted its annual Dancing with the Stars Kick-off Celebration at LaQuinta Inn and Suites on Saturday to shine a light on the featured contestants for the upcoming 6th Annual Dancing with the Stars of the Coastal Empire. 

This fundraiser competition brings together local community leaders and members as they collaborate with professional ballroom dancers to dance in front of a live audience in hopes to raise funds for advocacy services for youth in foster care. 

The annual fundraiser was created to support the growing needs for advocacy services and recruitment of qualified CASA Volunteers that support the mission of this non-profit organization. 

Atlantic Area CASA, (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Inc. advocates for abused and neglected children, that have been placed in foster care, during a juvenile court proceeding. 

Funds will go to the recruitment and training of new volunteers, providing quality assistance to the 181 children in their care and provide adequate information and resources to six counties they currently service. 

CASA’s fundraising goal this year is $25,000 and the group is looking for local businesses and community members to be a sponsor for the event. 

The 6th Annual Dancing with the Stars of the Coastal Empire will be held Saturday, March 7 at 7 p.m. at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available for $20 for General Admission and $45 for VIP.
