After 10 Midway Middle School students were named Students of the Month for February, they received another pat on the back Feb. 20 from NeSmith Chevrolet.
The dealership's sales and marketing coordinator Aaron Trimble came to the school to congratulate and reward the students with a certificate and a choice from a bagful of sweet treats.
"Really, what we (NeSmith) wanted to do was encourage you (students) to keep going," Trimble said. "It'll pay off in the long run."
Trimble announced to the students that each of their names was submitted to the Kind Acts Foundation, which will send the students another certificate and a lapel pin.
MMS Principal Debra Frazier said students of the month are "selected based on academic achievement, character and behavior."
"It is our intent to recognize those who are considered to be all-around good students," she said.
