Twenty-six Liberty College and Career Academy engineering associates recently went on an industry visit to SNF Holding Company — Chemtall in Riceboro.

Associates got to see the chemical engineering process and daily operations used at the plant. Ric Schreihofer, recruiter for Chemtall, shared hiring and safety practices and career opportunities at Chemtall.

“It’s really exciting seeing the seriousness in which our associates took this experience,” academy CEO Tom Alexander said. “We appreciate the partnership that Chemtall has with LCCA.”

“They all seemed to be shocked at the ‘real world’ application of what they’ve been hearing about,” LCCA Engineering Program Specialist Michael Goodson said.
