Long County Middle FBLA held  a surprise assembly for eighth-grade officer and member Mackenzie Pattison last Thursday.
Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the club planned an event to raise awareness and support Mackenzie, whose mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in August.
The club designed pink shirts that said, “TEAM PATTISON, FBLA Supports Mackenzie and her Mom.” All 42 members and advisers wore the shirts to school and held the assembly in Mackenzie’s homeroom and presented shirts for her and her mother.
