The staff and students at Lyman Hall Elementary worked throughout the school year to raise money for the Liberty County Humane Shelter. Fundraising events included selling dill pickles, lollipops, scented pencils and water balloons.
Liberty Humane Shelter President Sandra Frye said she was thrilled to accept the school’s $1,000 donation. The money will provide quality care for more than 40 cats and 30 dogs that are housed at the shelter. If you are interested in making a donation or adopting a pet, call 876-3647.
