Grandparents were honored at Midway Middle School on Sept. 11.

Probate Judge Nancy Aspinwall was the guest speaker. She spoke to the students about the importance of family and understanding the role of grandparents. Also at the event, students created a goal letter.

They identified a goal, created steps to achieve it and listed a dream team (support team) that will aid them in achieving their goals.

The event took place ahead of National Grandparents Day, which was Sept. 13.
