The Liberty/Long Retired Educators recently awarded its 2012 scholarship to Long County High School senior Haley Riddle.

She said she plans to attend Valdosta State University to major in early childhood education.

Her parents are Mike and Gina Riddle of Ludowici.

The scholarship was presented by Jane Cart, scholarship chairwoman for the organization.
