Fourth grader Jason Raynes explains a photo-biography slideshow to Hinesville Mayor Tom Ratcliffe. The exchange took place as local leaders in education, business and politics glimpsed the future of education on Tuesday during Joseph Martin Elementary School’s “A New Day — A New Way” presentation. Guests were treated to a tour around the school to see how teachers use technology to create interactive learning environments and how students benefit from becoming more tech savvy. Raynes used a laptop and free Microsoft Photo Story 3 software to blend text, sound and images to create his project.
