Smiley Elementary School students recently participated in the Young Georgia Author Writing Competition. Students used their imaginations and skills to write stories.

Awinner was selected from each homeroom and from those entries, grade-level winners were determined.

Grade-level winners were Allianna O’Connor-Gambrell from kindergarten, Breanna McGinn from first grade, Zora McCain from second grade and Grace Hartley from third grade. They are standing with Smiley Principal David Edwards.
