Liberty Elementary School participated in a school-wide “walk it out” event April 8 to motivate students for the CRCT.
Liberty Elementary participates in an annual school walk to fulfill a requirement to be eligible to receive funding through the Georgia Safe Schools Organization. This year, they’ll use the funds to build a sidewalk down Edgewater Drive.
A representative from the organization took photos of students “walking it out.”
For this year’s walk, organized by third-grade teacher Kim Boucher, students and staffers who participated received bracelets and other goodies.
Everyone in the school walked two laps, which is one mile, around the building.
Teachers and students made motivational CRCT banners to wave and chanted inspirational cadences related to CRCT testing as they walked.
The walk also satisfied requirements of the Healthy Schools Initiative.
