The Long County Library will have a full schedule of activities for kids throughout June.
Starting next week, a special guest will visit the library each week to help promote reading. From clowns and jugglers, to animals and magic, there will be fun activities scheduled for children of all ages each week.
Staring Monday, the first guest will be Chad Crews, who will present the “Reading takes you Everywhere Safari Show.”
The show will feature live animals, magic, music and storytelling.
On Thursday, June 14, Ron Anglin will give his take on the importance of reading, while amazing children and adults with his juggling and magic show.
On Thursday, June 21, Sparkles the Clown will visit the library and have games and tricks for the kids. She also will clown around and show everyone different ways to make toys and hats with balloons.
The month will wrap up June 28 with the Reading Takes You Everwhere awards ceremony. Children who have participated in the summer reading program will receive a snack bag, a treat bag, and a special book.
Special prizes will also be given out by a drawing for parents and children.
And finally, the winners for each age division, who have read the most books throughout the month will be presented prizes.
