The Coastal Courier received nearly 60 entries in the Christmas Tree Coloring Contest. We would like to thank all the young artists for their great entries. The grand prize winner received a gift basket valued at $50.

First place went to Brandi Pratt, 5, a Kindergarten student at Button Gwinnett Elementary School. As our readers can see, her tree was adorned with glitter, glam and googly eyes!

Second place in the Courier Christmas Tree Coloring Contest went to Emma Wasdin, a fifth grader at Liberty Elementary School. Emma’s tree makes creative use of colorful pipe cleaners and shiny buttons and beads.

Third place went to Giselle Talavera, a fourth grader at Waldo Pafford Elementary School. Giselle wrote that because Santa Claus likes cookies, she made her tree a “cookie tree.” How sweet!

Wishing all our artists and their families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Keep up the good work kids.
