Fort Stewart releases more info on slain soldiers
Two found dead in Hinesville townhome Sunday night

Fort Stewart officials released more information Thursday about the two 3rdInfantry Division soldiers found dead Sunday inside a Hinesville townhome.

Specialist Marquez Brown, 23, of Macon, was a wheeled-vehicle driver who joined the Army in October 2014 and arrived at Fort Stewart in October.

Private Malika Darion Jackson, 21, of Foley, Alabama, was an automated logistics specialist. He joined the Army in May 2016 and arrived at Fort Stewart in October.

Both soldiers were assigned to the 2ndInfantry Brigade Combat Team.  

Police said Tuesday the two were shot and killed. The Hinesville Police Department and Fort Stewart’s Criminal Investigation Division are investigating.
