MAYPORT, Fla. - One of the phenomenal sailors on board the USS Indianapolis (LCS 17) is Logistics Specialist (LS) Petty Officer 3rd Class Colby Foster!

As a LS, the Glennville, Georgia, native is responsible for handling the ship’s oncoming and off-going supplies, parts, and mail.

Prior to joining the Navy, LS3 Foster graduated from Tattnall County High School. He later attended East Georgia State College and Florida State College at Jacksonville. His was previously stationed on the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).

Foster’s favorite part about being a LS in the LCS community is, “the ability to perform multiple tasks.”

We salute LS3 Foster and all that he has done for the LCS community!

LCS is a highly maneuverable, lethal and adaptable ship designed to support focused mine countermeasures, anti-submarine warfare, and surface warfare missions. LCS integrates new technology and capability to affordably support current and future mission capability from deep water to the littorals.
