The Hineshouse Property Management and Maintenance Services will host its annual back-to-school bash from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Regency Park Apartments.
Kids can enjoy activities and get free bookbags with supplies. Parents must accompany children to receive supplies. Proof of Liberty County residency required to get free uniforms.
“We want to make the return to school positive for families, but we cannot do it without the community support,” said Chandra George, resident initiative and development coordinator. “We need assistance obtaining school supplies, school uniforms and book bags for children in our community.”
“We look forward to using this event to engage the Liberty County community and send our children back to school with the needed tools for success this upcoming school year,” said Melanie Thompson, CEO of the Hinesville Housing Authority.
If interested in helping, contact George at 912-622-1008 or at chandra_george@hinesvillehousing.org. Individuals and organizations can make a tax-deductible donation for supplies, set up a free booth to distribute supplies and information or “spread the word” by sharing fliers.
