The Hinesville Police Department, working closely with the Hinesville Fire Department and the Liberty County Board of Education, conducted a training exercise Tuesday at Bradwell Institute. 

The purpose of the training was to simulate an emergency at the school and to test the response of emergency personnel. 

Following the training, an after action report will be completed that will be used to identify shortcomings or training needs and to highlight what was handled correctly. 

The review will further enhance the ability of the city’s first responders to handle these types of incidents, Hinesville officials said in a release.
