Hinesville police are investigating a Thursday morning fatal shooting.

According to Hinesville Police Department Major Tracey Howard, the shooting occurred around 10 a.m. in an apartment on the 100 block of Hall Street.

The victim has not been identified.

An unknown person drove the victim to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, where he was later pronounced dead.
