The Liberty College & Career Academy Audio Video Technology & Film (AVTF) pathway recently announced its Panther Football Hype Video has been named Best Video in Education in the non-broadcast category in the 43rd annual Telly Awards.

The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens and are judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks and production companies including Netflix, A& E Networks, Hearst Media, Nickelodeon, ESPN Films and Vimeo.

Liberty College & Career Academy’s AVTF pathway won this prestigious award for the Panther Football Hype Video they created, which played on the Jumbotron this year for all Liberty County High School home football games.

“We are so proud of our film students,” said Dr. Franklin Perry, superintendent of schools. “Although the program was in its first year, they created a top-tier professional video under the instruction of their program specialist, Dr. Samone Norsworthy. We are certainly looking forward to great things from this new pathway!”

The Telly Award is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens. Established in 1979, they receive over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents. Entrants are judged by the Telly Awards Judging Council, an industry body of over 200 leading experts including advertising agencies, production companies and major television networks, reflective of the multiscreen industry the Telly Awards celebrate.
