Liberty County Coroner Reginald L. Pierce was tapped to serve for the next year as president of the Georgia Coroners Association, which held its annual conference meeting Sept. 21-23 in Macon.

Pierce is a 1992 graduate of East Laurens Comprehensive High School in East Dublin and Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science. He is the general manager, licensed funeral director and embalmer for Dorchester Funeral Home and L.M. Pierce Funeral Home Inc.

He serves on the hospital authority board, as treasurer and an executive board member of the Academy of Graduate Embalmers and is a member of the Midway Middle School board council and the Limerick Lodge No. 437.
