Liberty County is set to be featured as a stop on the 40th anniversary of Bicycle Ride Across Georgia. BRAG is set to make stops in Ellijay, Gainesville, Covington, Milledgeville, Swainsboro, Hinesville and Darien. Riders are set to bicycle their way into Liberty County on June 7.

BRAG founder, the late Dot Moss, was a Liberty County resident, and passed away in December 2018.

According to the website, BRAG routes take bike riders through some of the most friendly and welcoming towns, and features some of the best food Georgia has to offer. Within the BRAG community, each night they offer on-site food, a BRAG bar, games, live music and entertainment, and of course, a place for camp-site like lodging each night of the route.

BRAG officials emphasize that this is a ride, not a race, according to the website. Riders are encouraged to take their time and enjoy the atmosphere and to get a true taste for the vibrant fiber and culture of Georgia.
