Local H&R Block franchisee serves up world of good at annual convention

Hinesville– H&R Block recently held its annual franchisee convention from October 28-31 in Nashville, Tennessee. Approximately 2,000 H&R Block franchisees from across the country attended, including local owner Jim Floyd who proudly serves the areas of Hinesville, Jesup, Richmond Hill, and Glennville for the past six years.

During the annual convention talking taxes was a given, but more importantly franchise owner Jim, along with his wife, Alicia, and Tim Mosley, his Operations Manager, found time to step away from meetings to give back to the Nashville community. Alongside fellow franchisees, they stepped in to help the local Boys and Girls Club, Stands Down Nashville-Veterans, Gallatin CARES, and the Nashville Rescue Mission. In a span of two hours and with a combined 4,000 man-hours of volunteer work among all franchise owners, approximately packaged 700 weekly meal kits and 400 Thanksgiving meals, assembled over 2,000 toiletry kits and over 2,000 cold weather kits.

“Our purpose is to provide help and inspire confidence in our clients and communities everywhere,” said Jim Floyd, franchise owner for H&R Block in Hinesville and the surrounding areas. “Whether it’s children, families, veterans or the homeless, H&R Block is all about making a difference.”

H&R Block franchise owner Jim Floyd and his team recognize the important contributions that volunteering and regularly donating time, talent and resources to charitable organizations makes to the community throughout the year. They frequently partner with local organization in their own backyard to make an impact.
