Maybe it was wishful thinking. Maybe it was a set of tired eyes.
Whatever the case, Courier managing editor Jeff Whitten erred when he edited a press release for Sunday’s paper announcing Chick-Fil-A’s grand opening.
He had the grand opening set for Wednesday. It’s actually not taking place until Thursday.
The good news for Chick-fil-A fans is the restaurant will hold a family friendly overnight campout at 877 West Oglethorpe Highway, in the restaurant’s parking lot 24 hours before the grand opening as guests try to be one of the first 100 adults through the door to win a year of free Chick-fil-A meals. A list of eligible zip codes and official rules can be found at https://thechickenwire.chick-fil-a.com/News/Future-Openings. Or, you can still buy a copy of Sunday’s paper.
