The Georgia Department of Transportation’s Southeast Georgia (District 5) Office will hold a forum from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center, 2140 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Flemington, to discuss how the Transportation Funding Act of 2015 will drastically increase transportation investment in routine maintenance, capital projects and local governments.

Additions in motor fuel funds thanks to the TFA infused an additional $757 million into the fiscal-year 2016 and $820 million in the fiscal 2017 amended GDOT budget requests.

Topics to be discussed Tuesday include:

• Upcoming district-specific work

• Bidding and advertising processes
