Fraternity gives toys to needy children through DFCS

The local chapter of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity donated toys to Liberty County Department of Family and Children Service on Dec. 18.

“It’s just amazing to see how the kids’ faces light up when they see how many toys they are getting,” said Tyrone Hughes, a member of the Beta Gamma Gamma Chapter of the fraternity said. “Our goal is to make sure a kid looking under the tree sees one or two toys. That make us, as a fraternity, happy.”

Hughes said the fraternity’s cardinal principle is to uplift others.
