Now that the school year is over, many local children are attending a free summer learning camp hosted by the Hineshouse Project Inc.’s Resident Services Department.
The camp, which is held daily through July 18 for children ages 6-13, offers a full schedule of supervised activities, including academic tutorials, physical and water activities, library field trips and three meals a day.
To provide the camp experience to children for free, the Hineshouse Project Inc. partnered with the Telamon Corporation, Unlimited Taxes, city of Hinesville-lunch program, Marco’s Pizza/Fort Stewart, Liberty Tabernacle and United Way.
To make a donation, make checks payable to the Hineshouse Project Inc. Resident Services. Contributions, volunteers and community partners are welcome, and those interested should call Melanie C. Thompson, director of housing management and resident services, at 876-3853 or email melanie_thompson@hinesvillehousing.org.
