Kenneth Shaw elected Mayor Pro Tem

At Thursday’s city council meeting, the first of the year, councilmembers voted for District 5 councilman Kenneth Shaw to be the new Mayor Pro Tem. He was nominated by District 4 councilman Keith Jenkins.

City clerk Sarah Lumpkin was also reappointed as city clerk-treasurer by the council.

McKesson Stafford was appointed to District 3 councilwoman Vicky Nelson’s seat on the Hinesville Development Authority Board. Nelson resigned from her seat during the council meeting and recommended Stafford as her replacement.
